My name Is Georgina Francica, I am the Owner of NPR Interior Carpentry Inc, a small family business That has been nominated to “Best small business of the year 2019 “ by FCHCC.

It means a lot to me, my husband, and my children to know that you are reading this, we have been sacrificing vacations, summers, weekends, and holidays to work as a team to make our little dream come true, but this could not be possible without you.

I am an immigrant, the circumstances in my original country forced me to move to the United States of America back in October of 2001 with my oldest son, whom was only one year old. I was 23 years old then, I did not speak any English at all, I had my college degree in communications and broadcasting in my backpack, $50 dollars left after buying my son and my airplane ticket, I was scared, I did not know what I was going to do once here, I did not know anything at all about this great country, but I made it here and I was ready to work.

In 2009, during the depression, My VP, My husband, my best friend, and the man I have been sharing my life with for many years now, worked for different companies who after the job was finished would not pay him, and with that and me not being able to make enough money as an On-Air personality to support five kids we lost our home and were forced to move out of state to be able to look for new opportunities. During that time, we were homeless, often sleeping over cold concrete, in someone else’s basements, as well as getting food from restaurant garbage containers. In 2011 we found a way back to Jacksonville he immediately found a job as a carpenter and after a month of work he didn’t get paid again and we ended up becoming evicted one more time.

He finally found a stable job doing carpentry towards the beginning of 2013 and began doing side jobs from recommendations. In 2015 he was involved in a bad car accident, that put him out of work, he was unable to walk and needed immediate surgery, I had no savings, so I was forced to open a go fund me account to support our family and to avoid getting evicted again, and that’s when I asked him to teach me, I wanted to become a carpenter myself.

During 2018,2019 and 2020, NPR Interior carpentry Inc made hundreds of dreams come true, we have seen so many smiles, tiers of happiness, and lots, lots of nonstop work.  We are working all over North Florida and when I refer to “we” it’s my husband, my children, and myself.

We were hungry, we were cold, we lost everything, but we have love, God, fate, and Us. We are very proud of whom we’ve become

My daughter is the one writing this introduction of ourselves, I told you earlier that I came to this country with no English, I taught myself how to speak by watching television, to read, but I still make many mistakes while writing, and I wanted to make sure that you understand how proud I am of my family, my husband, my children, and how hard we worked, and overall I want to make sure that people understand that the American dream exists, you just need to work really hard, and focus to make it happen.

Thank you for visiting our webpage We hope to meet you soon!
